WFH Employee Training:
Reduce risk of injury.  Meet compliance requirements.

Ensure that your organisation is meeting your legal responsibility by providing employee training to reduce risks and improve health and well-being, as outlined by the HSE requirements for employees who are working from home.

Did you know...?
Employers have a legal duty of care for their home workers

Did you know that if you employ more than 5 people you are legally responsible for the health and wellbeing of your staff - even while they're working from home? And even if it is temporary.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has outlined three areas of risk for people working from home:

  • Lone working without supervision
  • Working with display screen equipment (DSE)
  • Stress and mental health
Do you know the safety and well-being of your home workers?

Unless you have provided the correct WFH training and full home workstation risk assessment of the working conditions of each employee, your business could be taken to court if any suffer a work-related injury.

Alarming statistics

Since lockdown over 70% of the work force are now working from home. The Institute of Employment Studies carried out a survey in April 2020, found the following:

58%

OF HOME WORKERS ARE NOW EXPERIENCING INCREASED NECK PAIN. WITH 56% SHOULDER & 55% BACK PAIN SINCE COVID-19.

72%

OF HOME WORKERS ARE WORKING FROM THEIR SOFAS INSTEAD PROPER WORKSTATIONS.

60%

ARE EXPERIENCING INCREASED SYMPTOMS OF FATIGUE, WITH 50% NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK/LIFE BALANCE.

As an employer, it is your legal responsibility to ensure the health and wellbeing of your staff.

To ensure compliance is met, employees require training on safe home working practices, set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).  This training is for display screen equipment, lone working, stress and mental health.

People working from home also require home workstation assessments, to help reduce risk of pain and injury.

What unique training does Positive Performance offer?

We offer expert-led live, virtual workshops, eTraining and virtual home workstation assessments to meet HSE requirements for compliance:

Positive Performance has put together a comprehensive training programme to offset the risks associated from working from home. Our programme is designed to identify areas of concern, reduce pain and stress, build resilience and enhance leadership and ongoing business growth through these turbulent times.

How does the training work?

We have two options available:

1.  Virtual, live interactive training through our platform on Zoom  (approximately 2.5 hours)
2.  Pre-recorded training enabling people to take the training at a time that suits them best (approximately 1 hour)

The programme is divided into three easy-to-digest workshops as an all-inclusive series to offset the concerns outlined by the HSE, and to help ensure organisations are meeting their compliance requirements.

We do offer a discounted package for all 3 training workshops, plus virtual home workstation assessments. (All three workshops plus the assessment are what is required by the HSE to meet compliance).
